Idealseal Auto-Marine is a one component moisture curing polyurethane sealant and adhesive with excellent primer-free adhesion to automotive, marine and most other building substrates. It is resistant to salt water and most chemicals, paintable, sandable, non-staining, fast curing with permanent and durable elasticity. Once cured the product has first rate water resistance, UV resistance and is suitable for applications involving aquatic organisms.
USES
Idealseal Auto-Marine is formulated to glue, seal, mount and anchor; fibreglass, painted surfaces, wood, glass, ceramics, metals and most plastics. It is commonly used to stick and seal within the automotive industry, for above and below the waterline sealing within the marine/ship building industry and for internal and external waterproof joints in building and metal constructions. In addition it is used in mechanical construction, container sealing, refrigeration plants, aircraft, caravan, mobile home, pond and the railway industry. Not recommended for use on PE, PP, PTFE and neoprene. Avoid contact with alcohol and other solvent cleaners during curing.
APPLICATION
Surfaces must be dry and dust free. Cut the cartridge seal and screw on nozzle which should be cut to required size. Gun the sealant firmly into joint ensuring no air is trapped behind. If required place masking tape along joint edges, removing within 10 minutes of application. Tool using a spatula or stick wetted with soapy water within 10 minutes of application
